Interlibrary
Loan Service:
Interlibrary
Loan (ILL) is a service that allows the MJC Library to locate
and obtain materials for you that are not available at our library.
ILL is based on a network of cooperative agreements that provide
access to books and periodicals in the collections of over 13,000
libraries in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Europe.
This service is available to current MJC students, faculty, and
staff only.

Intercampus
Loan Service (Borrowing materials
between YCCD libraries):
The
MJC and Columbia College libraries comprise the libraries of the
Yosemite Community College District (YCCD libraries). Both libraries
use the same online catalog. To borrow materials from either of
the YCCD libraries you simply click the Place Hold link
from within the MJC Library Catalog record for the material you
want. Click
here for more detailed instructions on placing a hold.
Materials
requested from Columbia College take an average of 3-4 business
days. We will notify you via email when your materials
are ready for you to pick up.
You
may keep materials requested via Intercampus Loan for the normal
borrowing period and return them to any YCCD library Circulation
Desk. In
addition, you can renew your library materials from within the
MJC Library Catalog. Items placed "On Hold" by someone
else may not be renewed.
Reference
and Reserve materials are not part of this service and must be
used in their respective libraries.
