Welcome to English 25!
      English 25 is a computer-based course for ESL students who want additional instruction in English writing.  This course will take you through the process of writing an essay.

     You can work on the computer portion of this class in any computer lab at Modesto Junior College.  The Internet address for this class is:

In this course, you will...

  • complete a timed writing sample in the MJC Writing Center

  • read lessons on the computer about how to write an essay (you can use headphones to listen to the lessons)

  • complete interactive exercises on what you've learned

  • print and complete worksheets

  • meet with a tutor in the Writing Center to discuss your progress

  • write a complete essay

  • complete another timed writing sample in the MJC Writing Center
